Viltab M 50/500 Tablet 15 may interact with the following medications, including

• Cationic Medications: Metformin, a key component of Viltab M 50/500 Tablet 15, can interact with cationic medications like amiloride, digoxin, and trimethoprim, potentially increasing their plasma concentrations.
• Iodinated Contrast Agents: Using these agents with Viltab M 50/500 Tablet 15 may lead to acute kidney failure and lactic acidosis. It’s advisable to temporarily discontinue the medication during such procedures.
• CYP3A4 Inducers: Medicines like rifampicin may reduce the effectiveness of vildagliptin, another active ingredient in Viltab M 50/500 Tablet 15.

Viltab M 50/500 Tablet 15 can interact with conditions/diseases, including

• Kidney Impairment: Not recommended for individuals with kidney disease as metformin is primarily excreted through the kidneys.
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis: Unsuitable for patients with this condition.
• Severe Liver Dysfunction: Should be avoided in severe liver disease as it may worsen the condition.

The overdose of Viltab M 50/500 Tablet 15 can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, flatulence and dizziness. If an overdose happens, seek medical attention immediately and follow the instructions accordingly.

If you miss a dose of Viltab M 50/500 Tablet 15, take it as soon as you remember. However, avoid repeating the dose.
