CompositionCefablast 500 Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the chest, urinary tract, ears, throat, sinuses and skin, such as pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis and tonsillitis, and it is used for Lyme disease and certain other infections.
It contains cefuroxime, a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping bacteria building their protective cell wall, which kills them.
Take it with food as prescribed, and complete the full course even if you feel better early.
Tell your doctor about any allergy to penicillin or cephalosporins before use. Report a rash, swelling or severe diarrhoea.
