Cardivas 3.125 Tablet is used to control high blood pressure, manage chronic heart failure and help reduce the risk of complications after a heart attack in adults. The 3.125 mg dose is usually the starting dose for heart failure.
It contains carvedilol, a beta-blocker that also relaxes blood vessels. It works by slowing the heart rate and easing the heart's workload, which improves blood flow.
Take it with food as prescribed, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice, as this can be dangerous.
Tell your doctor about any asthma, a very slow heart rate or liver problems before starting. The first dose may cause dizziness on standing, so rise slowly. Report a very slow pulse or worsening breathlessness.
