Cardivas 12.5 Tablet is used in adults to lower high blood pressure, to manage long-term heart failure, and to support the heart after a heart attack when its pumping action is reduced.

Uses of Cardivas 12.5 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower raised blood pressure and prevent related complications.
• Chronic Heart Failure: Reduces the risk of hospital admission and death in people with long-term heart failure.
• After a Heart Attack: Helps reduce the risk of further heart-related problems in people with reduced pumping function following a heart attack.

• Swallow the tablet whole with some water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet as it may affect how well the medicine works.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Cardivas 12.5 Tablet contains carvedilol (12.5 mg) which works on the body in the following ways:

• Alpha-1 Receptor Blocking: By blocking alpha-1 receptors in blood vessels, carvedilol causes these vessels to relax, reducing peripheral vascular resistance.
