Carvil 3.125 Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure and long-term heart failure in adults. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing carvedilol, and belongs to the class of medicines that block both alpha and beta receptors.
This medicine works by blocking certain natural substances such as epinephrine that act on the heart and blood vessels, which slows the heart rate, lowers blood pressure and reduces the workload on the heart. It is also used after a heart attack to improve chances of survival when the heart is not pumping well. Take this tablet orally with water, at the same time each day, in the dose prescribed by your doctor.
Tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems, and about any other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. Limit alcohol while taking this medicine, and consult your doctor before doing so. Report any unusual tiredness, dizziness or shortness of breath to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so, as sudden stopping can worsen your heart condition.
