Carvistar 3.125 Tablet is primarily used to manage high blood pressure, a condition also known as hypertension. It contains carvedilol, a non-selective beta-blocker with additional alpha-blocking properties, and is also used to alleviate heart-related chest pain.
Carvedilol works by blocking both beta and alpha receptors, which steadies the heart rate, reduces the heart's workload and relaxes blood vessels, together lowering blood pressure and easing angina symptoms.
Take this tablet with food, at the same times each day, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can worsen angina or trigger heart problems; any dose change should be made gradually under a doctor's supervision. Tell your doctor if you have asthma or a very slow heart rate.
