Candid-V Gel is used to treat vaginal yeast infections by stopping the growth of Candida fungus. It provides rapid relief from symptoms like burning, redness, abnormal discharge, and intense itching. By clearing the fungal presence, it supports effective healing and helps restore intimate comfort.

Follow these instructions while using Candid-V Gel:

• Ensure the vaginal area is clean and dry before application.
• Use the pre-filled applicator to gently insert the gel into the vagina.
• Press the plunger to release the medication.
• Clean your hands before and after application.
• It's important not to stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor first, even if symptoms improve earlier.
• Avoid using this medicine during menstruation.
• Refrain from sexual intercourse during treatment to prevent infection of your partner.

Candid-V Gel is applied topically.

Candid-V Gel contains clotrimazole (2%), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Alters Fungal Cell Membrane Permeability: Clotrimazole interacts with phospholipids in the fungal cell membrane. This interaction changes how substances can move in and out of the cells.

• Inhibits Ergosterol Synthesis: Clotrimazole obstructs the production of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes.

• Leads to Fungal Cell Death: Because it disrupts ergosterol synthesis and changes the permeability of the cell membrane, clotrimazole causes essential components within the fungal cell to leak out. This leakage results in cell death and helps manage your fungal infection.

• Store Candid-V Gel at a temperature below 25 °C. 

• Keep it in a dry place, away from direct heat and moisture. 

• Ensure the product is out of reach of children. 

• Discard any unused gel after the expiration date

• Do not freeze

• Maintain good vaginal hygiene to prevent recurrent fungal infections; avoid wearing tight-fitting underwear; and change your undergarments regularly.
