CompositionBrozeet-LS Drops is used to relieve a wet cough with thick mucus in infants and young children, particularly with wheezing in bronchitis or asthma. It is a combination respiratory medicine containing levosalbutamol (a bronchodilator), ambroxol (a mucolytic) and guaifenesin (an expectorant).
This medicine helps thin and loosen mucus so your child can cough it up more easily, and relaxes the airways to ease wheezing and chest congestion. Give the exact dose prescribed by the doctor using the dropper provided; the dose depends on your child's age and weight.
Offering plenty of fluids helps keep mucus thin, and keeping your child away from smoke and dust can reduce airway irritation. Raising the head of the cot slightly may help your child breathe more comfortably.
Before giving this medicine, tell the doctor if your child has heart problems, a fast heartbeat, diabetes, an overactive thyroid or epilepsy, and about other medicines your child takes. Seek medical help straight away if your child has fast or difficult breathing, a high fever, bluish lips, or is unusually drowsy or not feeding. Contact the doctor if you notice a fast or pounding heartbeat or shaking. Do not stop giving this medicine unless the doctor advises you to do so.
