Brillo Tablet is used to lower high LDL (bad) cholesterol in adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia or mixed dyslipidaemia, particularly in those with established cardiovascular disease or at high risk, when other cholesterol-lowering medicines are not enough or not tolerated.
It belongs to a class of cholesterol-lowering medicines called ACL inhibitors. It can be taken with or without food at the same time each day as prescribed.
A heart-healthy diet low in saturated fat and regular physical activity work alongside this medicine. Limiting alcohol and quitting smoking also help lower cardiovascular risk.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, gout, or a history of muscle problems, and about all other medicines. Tell your doctor promptly about any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. Your doctor may also monitor uric acid levels. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
