Bemdac Tablet 10

Bemdac Tablet is used for the following:

• Lowering levels of "bad" low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in adults

• Reducing the risk of heart attack and need for heart procedures in adults with cardiovascular disease or at high risk who can't take recommended statin therapy

• Managing high cholesterol levels, in addition to diet and other strategies, in adults with primary hyperlipidemia, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Bemdac Tablet is taken orally.

Bemdac Tablet contains bempedoic acid (180 mg), which works on the body in the following way:

• Reducing Liver Cholesterol Production: Bempedoic acid acts by decreasing the amount of cholesterol produced by the liver. This action contributes directly to the lowering of LDL cholesterol levels in the bloodstream.

• Lowering Blood Cholesterol: By reducing liver cholesterol production, bempedoic acid effectively decreases the levels of LDL cholesterol in the blood. This helps in managing high cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of heart disease.

• Store Bemdac Tablet in its original container at room temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.

• Avoid exposure to excessive light and moisture, so refrain from storing it in the bathroom.

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Always check the expiry date before use, and discard any expired tablets properly.

• Adopt a low-cholesterol diet: As Bemdac Tablet is aimed at managing high cholesterol levels, incorporating a diet low in saturated and trans fats can be beneficial. This includes choosing lean meats, avoiding fried foods, and increasing your intake of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

• Regular Exercise: Engage in moderate aerobic activity for at least 150 minutes a week or vigorous aerobic activity for 75 minutes a week. Regular physical activity can help lower your LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise your HDL (good) cholesterol levels. Always consult your doctor before starting a new exercise regime.
