Bemzire Tablet 10

Bemzire Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia

• Management of mixed dyslipidemia

• Lowering elevated LDL cholesterol levels

• Supporting patients intolerant to statin medicines

• Reducing cholesterol production in the liver

• Supporting cardiovascular health

• Complementing existing cholesterol-lowering treatments

• Helping patients who are not responding to other therapies

Follow these instructions while taking Bemzire Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• You can take this tablet with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking the medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• If you have any concerns about using this medicine, consult your doctor.

Bemzire Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Bemzire Tablet 10 contains Bempedoic acid (180 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits ATP citrate lyase: Bempedoic acid blocks an enzyme called ATP citrate lyase (ACL) in your liver. This enzyme plays an important role in the early stages of cholesterol production.

• Reduces cholesterol synthesis: By inhibiting the ACL enzyme, this medicine effectively decreases the amount of cholesterol your liver can produce, leading to lower overall cholesterol levels in your bloodstream.

• Increases cholesterol breakdown: Alongside reducing production, bempedoic acid also helps your body break down existing cholesterol more efficiently, further contributing to decreased cholesterol levels.

• Store Bemzire Tablet 10 at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always store out of reach of children.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• To help manage your high cholesterol levels, follow a heart-healthy diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol. Include more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins in your daily meals.

• Engage in regular moderate physical activity (like brisk walking) for at least 30 minutes most days of the week to help lower your LDL (the "bad" cholesterol) and raise your HDL (the "good" cholesterol).
