Bivaflo 250 MG Injection 1 ML contains bivalirudin (250 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Direct Thrombin Inhibition: Bivalirudin selectively and reversibly binds to thrombin, a key enzyme in blood clotting, preventing it from performing its normal function in the clotting process.

• Fibrinogen Conversion Prevention: It blocks thrombin from converting fibrinogen (a protein in blood plasma) to fibrin, which is essential for forming stable blood clots.

• Coagulation Factor Inhibition: Bivalirudin inhibits thrombin-mediated activation of several coagulation factors, including factors V, VIII, and XIII, which are necessary for proper blood clot formation.

• Platelet Aggregation Reduction: It prevents thrombin-induced platelet aggregation, where platelets clump together, which is an important step in the formation of blood clots.
