CompositionBILATOP M Suspension is formulated to manage allergic rhinitis in children aged 6 to 11 years old. It combines an antihistamine with a leukotriene receptor antagonist, and relieves runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes and itchy eyes. It also contains bilastine and montelukast.
The antihistamine component blocks histamine to relieve sneezing, itching and a runny nose, while the leukotriene receptor antagonist reduces airway inflammation, together giving broader relief from allergic rhinitis symptoms.
Give this suspension to your child using the measuring cup provided, at the dose your doctor prescribes based on age and weight, once daily.
Tell your doctor if your child has kidney disease, epilepsy, or a history of mood changes, since the leukotriene receptor antagonist component has rarely been linked with mood or sleep disturbance. This medicine can cause drowsiness, so monitor your child after each dose.
