Azulix Dm 10/1/500 Tablet 10 is primarily used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. This oral medicine is a combination formulation combining glimepiride with dapagliflozin, and also aids in reducing the risk of diabetes-related complications, including cardiovascular disease. It contains metformin.
Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, while dapagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess glucose from the body through the urine, together giving more complete blood sugar control through two complementary mechanisms.
Take this tablet daily in the morning, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and drink enough fluids through the day, since the dapagliflozin component increases how much you urinate.
Tell your doctor immediately if you notice deep, laboured breathing, nausea or unusual tiredness even with a normal blood sugar reading, as this can signal diabetic ketoacidosis. Be alert to symptoms of hypoglycaemia, such as sweating, shakiness or confusion.
