Dapanorm Gm 1 Tablet 10 is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is a combination antidiabetic medicine containing glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) and dapagliflozin (an SGLT2 inhibitor).
It also helps reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications, including cardiovascular disease. Take it in the morning in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and drink enough fluids through the day, as dapagliflozin increases how much urine you pass.
Keep to regular mealtimes, control portions of rice, roti and sweets, and stay physically active to reduce the risk of low blood sugar and support blood sugar control.
Before starting, tell your doctor about your medical conditions and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor immediately if you notice deep, laboured breathing, nausea or unusual tiredness even with a normal blood sugar reading, as this can signal diabetic ketoacidosis. Be alert to low blood sugar symptoms such as sweating, shakiness or confusion. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
