Azulix 3 Mf Tablet 15

Azulix 3 MF Tablet is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes, alongside diet and exercise, when a single medicine is not enough.

Uses of Azulix 3 MF Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps lower and control high blood sugar when combined with diet and exercise.
• Combination Therapy: Used when separate glimepiride and metformin are not enough for adequate control.
• Better Blood Sugar Management: Helps the body release and respond to insulin more effectively.

• Swallow the tablet whole with your evening meal.

• Avoid crushing, chewing, or splitting the tablet.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Azulix 3 Mf Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Azulix 3 Mf Tablet 15 consists of two active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (3 mg): As part of the sulphonylurea class of medications, glimepiride helps regulate blood sugar by stimulating pancreatic beta cells to release more insulin. This increased insulin secretion occurs even at lower blood sugar levels due to an improved sensitivity of these cells towards glucose. Glimepiride helps reduce glucose output from your liver.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin primarily works by reducing hepatic glucose production and intestinal glucose absorption, while enhancing insulin sensitivity in tissues like muscle and fat. It activates an enzyme named AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), which regulates cellular energy balance and glucose uptake. Unlike sulphonylurea, metformin does not stimulate insulin secretion and is less likely to cause hypoglycaemia.

Through these different mechanisms, it effectively helps manage blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.

• Keep protected from light and moisture.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Use before the expiry date marked on the pack.

• Maintain a balanced diet low in sugars and high in fibre, to help manage blood sugar levels when taking Azulix 3 Mf Tablet 15.

• Regular exercise is beneficial for managing type 2 diabetes. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity everyday. This can include brisk walking, cycling, or even gardening.
