CompositionAmlopres-5 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and to relieve and prevent the chest pain of angina. Controlling blood pressure and improving blood flow to the heart lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke.
It contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels so blood flows more easily and the heart works less hard.
Take it at the same time each day, and continue it even when you feel well. Do not stop it without medical advice.
Tell your doctor about any liver or heart problems before use. Mild ankle swelling, flushing or headache can occur at first and usually settles; tell your doctor if ankle swelling becomes troublesome.
