Xidorin Tablet 20

Xidorin 2.5 Tablet is used to manage symptomatic orthostatic hypotension.

Uses of Xidorin 2.5 Tablet are:

• Low Blood Pressure on Standing: Raises blood pressure when standing and helps reduce dizziness or light-headedness.
• Fainting Prevention: Helps reduce fainting episodes caused by orthostatic hypotension.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Take the last dose at least 4 hours before bedtime.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• Store the tablets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Xidorin Tablet 20 is taken orally.

Xidorin Tablet 20 contains midodrine (2.5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-1 adrenergic receptor stimulation: Midodrine activates alpha-1 adrenergic receptors located in the blood vessels throughout your body, which causes the blood vessels to constrict or narrow.

• Increased vascular tone: By causing blood vessel constriction, midodrine increases the tone or tension in your blood vessels, which helps raise blood pressure.

• Prevention of blood pooling: This medicine helps prevent excessive blood from collecting in your lower parts when you stand up, which is a primary cause of orthostatic hypotension symptoms.

• Maintenance of blood flow: Through its blood vessel narrowing effects, midodrine helps maintain adequate blood flow to vital organs such as your heart and brain when you change positions.

• Store Xidorin Tablet 20 below 25°C at room temperature.

• Keep the tablets protected from light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date and do not use Xidorin Tablet 20 after this date.

• Avoid sudden position changes when standing up from sitting or lying down. Instead, get up slowly in stages to help your body adjust to the change in position.

• Increase your salt and fluid intake to help maintain blood volume and blood pressure when dealing with orthostatic hypotension.
