Warf 4 MG Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE)

• Preventing complications linked with irregular heartbeat or heart valve replacement

• Reducing the risk of death and recurrent heart attack, and managing blood clotting events after a heart attack

Here's how to take Warf 4 MG Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Don't chew or crush it.

• Stick to your doctor's advised dose. Don't take more without consulting your doctor.

• If you forget a dose, don’t double up. Always check with your doctor first.

• Keep taking this medicine as long as your doctor advises. Do not stop unless your doctor tells you to.

Warf 4 MG Tablet is taken orally.

Warf 4 MG Tablet contains Warfarin (4 Mg), which functions in your body as follows:

• Inhibits Vitamin K-Dependent Clotting Factors: Warfarin works by blocking the production of these clotting factors in your body. These are proteins in your blood that work together to help your blood clot. By inhibiting these factors, warfarin effectively prolongs the clotting time, preventing harmful blood clots from forming in your blood vessels.

• Depletes Reduced Form of Vitamin K: Warfarin's anticoagulant effect is further enhanced by reducing the amount of the reduced form of vitamin K in your body. Vitamin K is essential for the gamma-carboxylation of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors. This action helps prevent your blood from clotting too quickly.

• Store Warf 4 MG Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature is between 15°-30°C.

• Avoid exposure to excess light and moisture.

• Keep the medicine securely out of children's reach.

• It's important to use this medication before its expiry date.

• As Warf 4 MG Tablet works by inhibiting vitamin K-dependent clotting factors, you should maintain a consistent intake of vitamin K through your diet. Sudden changes can affect how the medicine works. Foods rich in vitamin K include green leafy vegetables like spinach, broccoli and kale.

• Regular exercise is beneficial for cardiovascular health. However, avoid activities that have a high risk of causing injury or bleeding due to the anticoagulant effect of this medicine.
