Vinglyn Sr Tablet 10 is used to manage type 2 diabetes control.

Uses of Vinglyn Sr Tablet 10 are:

• Type 2 Diabetes Control: Helps lower and stabilise blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.
• Glycaemic Management: Enhances blood glucose regulation when diet and physical exercise alone are insufficient.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• You can take this medicine with or without food.
• Try to take your dose at the same time every day for best results.
• Avoid splitting, crushing or chewing the tablet.
• You must not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Vinglyn Sr Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Vinglyn Sr Tablet 10 contains vildagliptin (100 mg), which has the following effects on the body:

• Inhibition of Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4: Vildagliptin is a potent inhibitor of an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) in your body. This enzyme normally breaks down certain hormones that help regulate blood sugar.
• Increased Insulin Secretion: By inhibiting DPP-4, vildagliptin increases the levels of these hormones, known as incretins. The increased incretin levels stimulate insulin secretion from your pancreas.
• Reduced Glucose Production: Alongside increasing insulin secretion, vildagliptin also reduces glucose production by your liver. This helps lower both fasting and after-meal blood glucose levels.
