Vigadexa Ophthalmic Solution is used to treat bacterial eye infections associated with inflammation, and to prevent or treat infection and inflammation after eye surgery. It combines an antibiotic with a corticosteroid to fight susceptible bacteria while easing redness, swelling and pain in the eye.
The eye drops contain an antibiotic and a corticosteroid combination. Instil the drops into the affected eye as prescribed, washing your hands before and after use and avoiding contact between the dropper tip and the eye. Continue using the drops for the full course prescribed by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve, to help clear the infection completely.
Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes, and do not wear contact lenses during treatment unless your doctor says it is safe to do so. Keep the bottle tightly closed and away from contamination between uses.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, a viral or fungal eye infection, or any other eye condition. Stop use and consult your doctor if you notice worsening redness, pain, vision changes, or if symptoms do not improve within a few days. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor.
