CompositionVeloz-20 Tablet is a medicine used to reduce excess acid production in the stomach. It helps manage acid reflux, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), and stomach or duodenal ulcers, relieving heartburn and irritation of the food pipe.
It contains rabeprazole, which belongs to a class of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Take it as prescribed by your doctor, usually before a meal. It may also be used in combination with antibiotics to treat Helicobacter pylori infection. Continue taking it for the full duration advised, even if symptoms improve early.
Dietary and lifestyle habits play a key role in managing acid-related discomfort. Avoiding spicy, fatty, or acidic foods, eating smaller meals, not lying down immediately after eating, and limiting caffeine, alcohol, and smoking can help reduce acid reflux symptoms.
Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have liver disease or are taking other medications. Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors may require monitoring of vitamin B12 levels and bone health. Contact your doctor if your symptoms persist or if you experience unexplained bone pain or severe diarrhoea.
