Ursocol SR 450 Tablet is primarily used in managing primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), a liver disease caused by autoimmune damage to bile ducts. It also aids in dissolving cholesterol-based gallstones and helps treat liver complications associated with cystic fibrosis in children aged 6 to 18 years, improving liver function and protecting liver cells from further damage.

• Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 
• Take it with food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

The Ursocol SR 450 tablet is taken orally. 

Ursocol SR 450 tablet contains the following components:

• Ursodeoxycholic acid (450 mg): It enhances the solubilisation of cholesterol in bile, reducing the formation and promoting the dissolution of gallstones. This mechanism is particularly relevant for small gallstones that may not be visible on X-ray.
• It exhibits hepatoprotective properties, protecting the liver cells from damage. It is particularly beneficial in conditions like primary biliary cirrhosis, contributing to the overall health and function of the liver.

• Ursocol SR 450 tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
