Trivedon MR Tablet is used for the long-term prevention and management of stable angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). Unlike most other anti-anginal medicines, it helps the heart muscle use oxygen more efficiently rather than affecting heart rate or blood pressure.
It contains trimetazidine in a modified-release form. Take it with food at the same time each day as prescribed. It is a maintenance medicine and should be used regularly as part of a broader heart disease management plan.
A heart-healthy lifestyle, including a low-fat diet, quitting smoking, staying active within the limits your doctor advises, and managing weight, supports cardiac health alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney problems (dose may need adjusting) and about any history of movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Tell your doctor promptly if you notice tremors, unsteadiness, or unusual movements, as these can rarely occur with this medicine. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
