Trivedon MR Tablet is a medicine used for the long-term management of stable angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart) in adults. It helps the heart muscle use oxygen more efficiently without directly affecting heart rate or blood pressure.
It contains trimetazidine in a modified-release form. Take the tablet with meals as prescribed. Swallow it whole with water without crushing or chewing it, to ensure the medicine is released slowly into the body. Continue taking it regularly, as it is a long-term maintenance treatment and not for acute chest pain.
A heart-healthy lifestyle supports long-term cardiac health alongside this medicine. This includes eating a balanced diet low in saturated fats, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising moderately as advised by your doctor, and avoiding smoking.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have kidney disease or movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Contact your doctor promptly if you develop tremors, stiffness, or unsteadiness. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
