TriGlycomet Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Preventing serious complications related to diabetes, such as kidney damage

• Avoiding vision loss due to uncontrolled diabetes

• Reducing the risk of nerve problems caused by high blood sugar levels

• Lowering the likelihood of limb amputations resulting from diabetic complications

• Shielding against heart disease that may come with diabetes

Follow these instructions while taking TriGlycomet Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not split, crush or chew the tablet.

• For consistent blood sugar control, take this medicine at the same time every day.

• Never take more than your doctor's recommended dose.

• If you're unsure about any aspect of using this medicine, consult your doctor.

TriGlycomet Tablet is taken orally.

TriGlycomet Tablet contains three active ingredients:

• Glibenclamide (5 mg): This ingredient acts by stimulating the pancreas to secrete more insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps to lower blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin functions by reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver. It also improves the body's sensitivity to insulin, helping the body to use glucose more effectively.

• Pioglitazone (15 mg): Pioglitazone works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. This allows insulin to work more effectively, reducing the amount of glucose in the blood.

• Store TriGlycomet Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.

• Keep it safe from light and moisture, so avoid storing it in the bathroom.

• Always keep this medicine out of children's reach.

• Remember to use it before the expiry date mentioned on the package.

• Since TriGlycomet Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes, it's essential to maintain a balanced diet. Try to include fibre-rich foods like whole grains and vegetables, which can slow the absorption of sugar into your bloodstream and prevent spikes in blood glucose.

• Regular exercise is also crucial as it helps your body use insulin more effectively. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, such as brisk walking or cycling, every day.
