The BD Glide Insulin Syringe U-100  is used for delivering insulin. It is designed for precise and comfortable insulin delivery. Each syringe is equipped with an ultra-fine 31-gauge needle that helps reduce discomfort during injections. They are not made with natural rubber latex which significantly reduces the risk of allergic reactions for those with latex sensitivities. The syringes are non-toxic, safe for medical use and do not contain harmful substances that could compromise patient health. The pack contains 10 syringes which provide convenience for multiple uses. 

• Gauge: The needle gauge which is marked as 31G indicates that it is ultra-fine which makes injections smoother and less painful.
   
• Needle Length: The needle length of 6mm is suitable for subcutaneous insulin administration which means it is designed to inject insulin just under the skin. Subcutaneous injections are commonly used for insulin delivery and are preferred for ease and comfort.
   
• Compatibility: The syringe is specifically designed to work with U-100 insulin which is the standard concentration of insulin used for diabetes management. • Subcutaneous Injections: It is suitable for giving subcutaneous injections which means injecting medication just under the skin. Subcutaneous injections are commonly used for various medications, including insulin for diabetes management. 

• Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
• To expose the plunger, twist the white cap to break the seal, then pull it off.
• To expose the needle, twist the orange shield to break the seal, then pull it straight off, being careful not to bend the needle.
• To measure the correct dose, align the top edge of the THINLINE™ plunger tip with your dosage mark on the syringe scale.
• Hold the syringe like a pencil. Pinch up your skin and push the needle quickly through the skin at 90° (straight in) to the skin surface. Push the insulin in with the plunger. 
• Withdraw the needle and dispose of the syringe safely in a puncture-resistant container.

• For single-patient use only. Do not reuse needles or syringes.
• Use only compatible medications and follow prescribed dosages.
• Dispose of used syringes and needles according to local regulations.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Store syringes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Lipohypertrophy (Lumps of fatty tissue under skin)
• Injection site reactions such as redness, itching, swelling, subcutaneous nodules (lumps located under the skin)
• Hypokalemia (low level of potassium) and hypomagnesemia (low level of magnesium), especially in diabetic ketoacidosis patients
