Tidomet Plus Tablet is used for the management of the following conditions:

• Parkinson's disease: This is a progressive disorder that affects movement, causing symptoms like tremors and difficulty in walking.

• Post encephalitic parkinsonism: This condition, similar to Parkinson's disease, develops after encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain.

• Parkinson-like symptoms following carbon monoxide intoxication: These symptoms arise due to poisoning caused by inhaling excessive carbon monoxide gas.

• Parkinson-like symptoms following manganese intoxication: This arises due to exposure to high levels of manganese, a type of metal.

Here's how you should take Tidomet Plus Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• If you feel better, don't stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor first.

Tidomet Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Tidomet Plus Tablet combines two active ingredients:

• Carbidopa (25 mg): This ingredient doesn't directly help in managing Parkinson's symptoms, but plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of Levodopa. Carbidopa inhibits the metabolism of Levodopa in peripheral tissues, allowing more Levodopa to reach the brain unchanged and perform its function effectively.

• Levodopa (100 mg): This ingredient forms the core component in managing Parkinson's symptoms. Levodopa gets converted into dopamine once it reaches the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that regulates movement, and its deficiency in the brain leads to Parkinson's symptoms. By replenishing dopamine levels in the brain, Levodopa helps reduce symptoms like tremors, muscle rigidity and difficulty in movement.

• Keep your Tidomet Plus Tablet at room temperature.

• Find a cool, dry place away from direct light and moisture for best storage.

• Always ensure that it's out of the reach of children.

• Remember to check the expiry date and do not take the medicine past its expiration.

• Avoid high-protein diets: Consuming too much protein can interfere with the absorption of Levodopa, an active ingredient in Tidomet Plus Tablet. A balanced diet with moderate protein intake is recommended.

• Be careful during hot weather: Tidomet Plus Tablet may affect your body's temperature regulation. Ensure you stay adequately hydrated and avoid overheating.
