Tide Plus 20 Tablet is used to treat fluid retention (oedema) caused by conditions such as heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease, and to help control high blood pressure. It helps the body remove excess water and salt while preserving potassium.
It contains torsemide and spironolactone, two diuretics that help remove excess salt and water. Spironolactone also helps reduce potassium loss. Take it as prescribed, ideally earlier in the day so that increased urination does not disturb your sleep, and continue taking it even when you feel well.
Alongside this medicine, reducing salt in your diet, monitoring your weight to track fluid changes, and following your doctor's advice on fluids can help manage fluid retention. Avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless your doctor advises them.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, high potassium levels, or other medicines you take. Your doctor may check your blood salts and kidney function with regular blood tests. Report muscle weakness, an irregular heartbeat, or severe dizziness. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
