Age and Dose Restrictions

• It is not intended to be used by children.

Contraindications

• It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to spironolactone or torsemide. 

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• Avoid taking anti-diabetic medications (sulfonylamide, sulfonylurea or biguanide, or with insulin), antibiotics (gentamicin), beta-blockers (telmisartan), psychotic medications (lithium) and medications for heart failure (digoxin). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of this combination.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• If, by accident, an overdose is taken, contact your doctor in case you experience severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms. Strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose of this combination, take it as soon as you remember. But, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing regime.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• It's advisable to refrain from driving following the consumption of Spironolactone + Torsemide, as it can occasionally induce drowsiness due to orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when transitioning from lying to standing).

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Caution is advised while taking this combination during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in elderly patients and patients with liver, kidney, heart, low blood pressure, and low potassium levels.

Special Dietary & Lifestyle Recommendation

• Avoid eating foods rich in potassium, such as bananas, dry fruits, milk, and milk products. 
• Oral rehydration fluids containing potassium salts may also lead to increased potassium levels in the body.
• Maintain a healthy weight through exercise and a healthy diet.
• Avoid smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol.
• Include natural diuretic foods in the diet, such as beets, green beans, grapes, onion, leafy greens, and garlic.
• Avoid the consumption of too much salt or salty food.
• Avoid standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
• Avoid chronic stress, as it can raise your blood pressure.
• Spend time with your loved ones to cope with stress and practice mindfulness techniques.
