CompositionTerbinaforce Tablet is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, nails and scalp. It helps clear infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch and fungal nail infections, including certain fungal infections of the scalp.
It contains terbinafine, an antifungal medicine that kills the fungi responsible for these infections. Take the tablet as prescribed, with or without food, and continue for the full course even after symptoms such as itching and redness begin to improve.
Keeping the skin clean and dry, especially between the toes and in skin folds, can help prevent fungal infections from returning. Wearing breathable footwear and avoiding sharing towels, socks or nail clippers can also reduce the risk of reinfection.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver disease or other ongoing medical conditions. Contact your doctor if you notice yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual fatigue, as liver function may need to be checked.
