Terbinaforce Tablet is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, nails, and scalp. It contains Terbinafine, an antifungal agent that inhibits the growth of fungi responsible for infections like ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and fungal nail infections.

Terbinaforce Tablet is also effective against yeast infections caused by Candida species. It relieves symptoms such as itching, redness, and nail discoloration while promoting complete healing. Always follow the prescribed dosage, and inform your doctor if you have liver disease or other ongoing medical conditions.

Terbinaforce Tablet is used to treat fungal infections of the skin and nails, including those caused by yeast. It effectively eliminates the fungus causing the infection, relieves symptoms like itching, redness, and swelling, and prevents recurrence. The tablet is especially useful for treating persistent fungal infections, supporting long-term skin and nail health with consistent use.

Swallow it with water, preferably after food, to prevent nausea.
Do not cut, break, or chew this tablet.
It would be best to take it at a fixed time for optimal results.

Terbinaforce Tablet is taken orally.

Terbinaforce Tablet may cause loss of appetite, stomach pain, bloating, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, headache, itching, joint pain, and muscle pain. These effects are usually mild. Consult your doctor if they persist or worsen.

Managing the Side Effects:

Most of the side effects of this tablet are usually mild and often do not require urgent medical attention. They improve with continued usage of the medicine. However, if the side effects persist or worsen or something other than that listed above occurs, inform your doctor immediately.

Terbinaforce Tablet contains the following component:

Terbinafine hydrochloride (250 mg): It is an antifungal agent that disrupts the synthesis of fungal cell membranes, impeding fungal growth and viability.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or plan to get pregnant, do not take Terbinaforce Tablet. Consult your doctor for advice and questions before using the medicine.

Breastfeeding

Do not take Terbinaforce Tablet if you are breastfeeding, as small amounts may pass into the breast milk. Consult your doctor for advice and questions before using the medicine.

Alcohol

Alcohol consumption, along with Terbinaforce Tablet, is not recommended, as it may worsen the side effects. Consult your doctor for advice before using the medicine.

Liver

Be cautious about using Terbinaforce Tablet in patients suffering from liver diseases. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.

Kidney

Be cautious about using Terbinaforce Tablet in patients suffering from kidney diseases. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.

Using Machines & Driving

Terbinaforce may cause dizziness. If you feel dizzy, do not drive or use machines until you feel normal.

Allergy

If you are allergic to terbinafine, do not take this medicine. Read the label carefully before using any medication.

Children

Terbinaforce Tablet is not recommended in children who are aged below two years. Consult your doctor before giving this medicine to your children.

Older Patients

Be cautious about using Terbinaforce Tablet in older patients suffering from liver, kidney, and heart. Consult your doctor before use as they might be taking other medications that can interact with this tablet.

Drug-Drug Interactions

Terbinaforce Tablet can interact with the following medications:

Antimicrobials such as rifampicin, when consumed with this tablet, can decrease the exposure of this tablet. Thus, dose adjustment is required when these medicines are concomitantly used.
H2 blockers such as cimetidine, when consumed with this tablet, increase the risk or severity of myopathy, rhabdomyolysis, and myoglobinuria.
Immunosuppressants such as cyclosporine, when taken with this tablet, can decrease the effect of immunosuppressants.
Tricyclic antidepressants such as desipramine, when consumed with this tablet, can increase the risk of side effects.
Oral contraceptives such as ethinylestradiol, when consumed with this tablet, can cause irregular periods in females.
Other antifungals such as fluconazole or ketonazole, when taken with this tablet, can reduce the effect of this tablet.
Beta-blockers such as metoprolol, propafenone, or amiodarone, when consumed with this tablet, inhibit the metabolism of beta-blockers.
Antitussives such as dextromethorphan, when taken with this tablet, increase the effect of antitussives.

Terbinaforce Tablet can interact with the following foods:

Caffeine: This tablet when taken with caffeine containing products can increase the risk of caffeine.

Drug-Disease Interactions

Terbinaforce Tablet interacts with the following diseases/conditions:

Liver diseases: This tablet may worsen the liver diseases.
Kidney diseases: This tablet may worsen the kidney diseases.
Psoriasis: This tablet may cause thickened patches of red/silver skin.
Facial rash: This tablet may worsen the facial rashes.
Cutaneous and systemic lupus erythematosus: This tablet may worsen this condition.
Joint pain: This tablet may worsen the joint pain.
Muscle disorder: This tablet may worsen the muscle problems.

Daily Dose

The recommended dose of Terbinaforce Tablet should be strictly as per the doctor's prescription. The dosage may change depending on individual factors, such as age, severity of pain, and response to the treatment.

Over Dose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Terbinaforce Tablet by accident, it is essential to take the patient to the nearest doctor in case you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms. Symptoms of overdose include headache, stomach pain, feeling sick, or dizziness.

Missed Dose

If you forget to take the dose of Terbinaforce Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dose is near, skipping the missed dose and resuming your regular dosage pattern is recommended.

Store Terbinaforce Tablet above 30ºC.
Please protect it from light and moisture.
Keep this tablet away from children.
Do not use this tablet after the expiry date has passed.

Wash the affected area daily with mild soap and water, then thoroughly dry it.
After showering or bathing, ensure you dry your skin completely, paying extra attention to the areas between toes or skin folds.
Choose moisture-wicking fabrics for underwear and socks to help keep the affected areas dry.
Tight clothing can trap moisture, creating an environment conducive to fungal growth. Opt for loose-fitting attire, especially in the affected areas.
As your doctor recommends, apply antifungal powders or sprays to help keep the area dry and inhibit fungal growth.
Do not share towels, socks, or other personal items that come into contact with the affected areas to prevent the spread of infection.
Keep your feet clean and dry, especially between the toes.
Change shoes and socks regularly, and allow your shoes to air out between uses.
