Telefix Mt 50 Tablet 15 is used for the following:

• Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Prevention of cardiovascular events

• Management of stable chronic heart failure

• Reduction of heart attack and stroke risk

• Treatment of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction

• Prevention of hospitalisations due to heart failure

• Lowering risk of fatal cardiovascular events

• Management of symptomatic heart failure

Follow these instructions while taking Telefix Mt 50 Tablet 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.

Telefix Mt 50 Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Telefix Mt 50 Tablet 15 contains two active ingredients that work together to lower your blood pressure:

• Metoprolol succinate (50 mg): This is a beta-blocker that works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals like epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) on your heart and blood vessels. This reduces your heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart, while also improving blood flow to the heart.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This is an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) that relaxes your blood vessels by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II. Normally, angiotensin II causes your blood vessels to narrow and increases blood pressure. By preventing this action, telmisartan helps your blood vessels relax and widen, which lowers your blood pressure.

• Store Telefix Mt 50 Tablet 15 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep away from light and moisture.

• Do not store in the bathroom.

• Keep all medications out of reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after its expiry date.

• Properly discard when no longer needed.

• Reduce salt intake in your diet, as high sodium consumption can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension) which this medicine helps manage.

• Engage in regular moderate physical activity like brisk walking for 30 minutes daily, which helps lower blood pressure naturally and improves the effectiveness of blood pressure medicines.
