Spiromide Tablet comprises two active ingredients that work together to reduce fluid overload in your body:

• Frusemide (20 mg): Acting as a loop diuretic, frusemide inhibits the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the ascending loop of Henle and distal renal tubule in your kidneys. This action leads to increased urine production and promotes the excretion of these electrolytes and water.

• Spironolactone (50 mg): As a potassium-sparing diuretic, spironolactone blocks the effects of the hormone aldosterone by binding to its receptors. This reduces sodium reabsorption while increasing water excretion, but it retains potassium.
