Aldactone F Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of fluid build-up in the abdomen

• Management of swelling due to liver cirrhosis

• Reducing excess fluid in the body

• Controlling mild to moderate high blood pressure

• Decreasing water retention in the body

• Helping with fluid imbalances from heart problems

• Supporting kidney function in certain conditions

• Balancing electrolyte levels in the body

• Take this tablet with food or milk to reduce stomach upset.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• It's best to take this medicine in the morning to avoid night-time trips to the toilet.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Store at room temperature away from moisture and light.

Aldactone F Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Aldactone F Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Spironolactone (50 mg): This component is a potassium-sparing diuretic that works as an aldosterone antagonist. It blocks the effects of aldosterone, a hormone that promotes sodium retention and potassium loss in the body, thereby increasing sodium and water excretion while maintaining potassium.

• Furosemide (20 mg): Also known as furosemide, this is a loop diuretic that inhibits sodium and chloride reabsorption in specific parts of the kidneys called the ascending loop of Henle and distal renal tubule. This action leads to increased urine production and decreased fluid retention in the body.

• Store Aldactone F Tablet 10 at room temperature in a dry place.
