Sensiclav 625 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the ears, sinuses, throat, chest, urinary tract, skin, teeth and bones in adults, helping to clear the infection.

Uses of Sensiclav 625 Tablet are:

• Ear, Nose and Throat Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the ears, sinuses and throat.
• Chest Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the lungs and airways.
• Urinary Tract Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the bladder and kidneys.
• Skin, Dental and Bone Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the skin, teeth, bones and joints.

To ensure effective use of Sensiclav-625 Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet.

• Take this medicine alongside a meal to reduce chances of an upset stomach.

• Maintain evenly spaced intervals between doses for consistent antibiotic levels in your body.

• Do not alter the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Continue taking Sensiclav-625 Tablet for the entire course as advised by your doctor.

Sensiclav-625 Tablet is composed of two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (500 mg): This semi-synthetic penicillin works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It does this by targeting what are known as penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). By blocking these proteins, it disrupts the bacteria's ability to build their cell walls, leading to their destruction.

• Potassium Clavulanate (125 mg): Acting as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, this component prevents certain enzymes known as beta-lactamase enzymes from breaking down amoxicillin. These enzymes are produced by resistant bacteria and can render amoxicillin ineffective. By preventing this breakdown, potassium clavulanate ensures that amoxicillin can work effectively against a broader range of bacteria.
