Sensiclav-625 Tablet is composed of two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (500 mg): This semi-synthetic penicillin works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It does this by targeting what are known as penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). By blocking these proteins, it disrupts the bacteria's ability to build their cell walls, leading to their destruction.

• Potassium Clavulanate (125 mg): Acting as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, this component prevents certain enzymes known as beta-lactamase enzymes from breaking down amoxicillin. These enzymes are produced by resistant bacteria and can render amoxicillin ineffective. By preventing this breakdown, potassium clavulanate ensures that amoxicillin can work effectively against a broader range of bacteria.
