Rozustat Asp Capsule 10

Rozustat-ASP Capsule is used for the following health conditions:

• Lowering the risk of nonfatal stroke in individuals with a history of ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack
• Reducing the risk of nonfatal heart attack and death in patients with previous heart attack or unstable chest pain
• Managing chronic stable chest pain to decrease the risk of sudden death and heart attack
• Secondary prevention in patients who have undergone revascularisation procedures such as CABG or PTCA
• Decreasing elevated total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, ApoB, and triglycerides in patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia
• Slowing down the progression of atherosclerosis in patients with high CRP and history of coronary heart disease or risk equivalent.

• Take the capsule orally.
• Swallow it whole with water without splitting, chewing, crushing or dissolving it.
• Take this medicine at least 60 minutes before your meal.

Rozustat-ASP Capsule is taken orally.

Rozustat-ASP Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together in your body:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This component works by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme known as cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1). This action modifies the production of thromboxane A2, a substance that can narrow your blood vessels and promote platelet aggregation, leading to blood clot formation.
• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient competitively blocks an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme plays a crucial role in converting HMG-CoA to mevalonate, a precursor of cholesterol. By inhibiting this enzyme, rosuvastatin increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on cell surfaces, enhancing uptake and catabolism of LDL cholesterol, while also reducing VLDL cholesterol and triglycerides and increasing HDL cholesterol.
