Rosumac ASP Capsule is used for secondary prevention of heart attack, stroke, and vascular death in people with existing heart disease or unstable angina. It lowers cholesterol and prevents clot formation, helping maintain smooth blood flow and protect against future events.

Here's how you should take Rosumac ASP Capsule:

• Swallow one capsule whole with a sufficient amount of water.

• Do not break, crush, or chew the capsule.

• Take this medicine about half an hour before your evening meal for best results.

Rosumac ASP Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This component works by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase1 (COX 1) in your body. This blocks the production of thromboxane A2, which is involved in blood clotting or platelet aggregation, providing antiplatelet activity. Additionally, it inhibits prostaglandin synthesis that helps manage pain, inflammation and fever.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This element competitively blocks HMG CoA reductase, an enzyme that plays a pivotal role in cholesterol production inside your body. It also increases the LDL receptors on liver cells' surface enhancing LDL uptake and breakdown. This results in a reduction of total cholesterol, LDL C (bad cholesterol), ApoB (a protein linked to bad cholesterol), non HDL C and triglycerides, while increasing HDL C (good cholesterol).

• Store the Rosumac ASP Capsule in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature.
