Rosave F 5 Tablet 15 is used for the following:

• Managing primary hypercholesterolemia is characterised by high blood levels of total cholesterol, bad cholesterol (LDL), and fats (triglycerides)

• Handling mixed dyslipidemia, a condition that results in abnormal levels of lipids in your blood

• Boosting good cholesterol levels

• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, and arterial revascularization procedures in those with multiple risk factors but no evident heart disease

Here's how to take Rosave F 5 Tablet 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't crush or chew the tablet before swallowing.

• Stick to your doctor's recommended dose; don't take more without consulting your doctor.

• If you feel you should stop taking this medication, discuss it with your doctor first.

Rosave F 5 Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Rosave F 5 Tablet 15 contains two active ingredients:

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): Fenofibrate, a medication known as fibrates, works by activating a specific enzyme in the body. This enzyme decreases the production of triglycerides in the liver and increases their breakdown, resulting in lower blood triglyceride levels. Fenofibrate also slightly increases "good" high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels.

• Rosuvastatin (5 mg): Classified as a statin, rosuvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme crucial for cholesterol production in the body. Reducing the production of mevalonate, a precursor of cholesterol, it effectively decreases LDL cholesterol. It also increases the activity of LDL receptors on liver cells, enhancing the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol from the blood.

• Store your Rosave F 5 Tablet 15 at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the medication in its original packaging, protected from light and moisture.
