Rosave-F 10 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and elevated blood fat levels in adults, and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Uses of Rosave-F 10 Tablet are:

• Mixed Dyslipidaemia: Lowers harmful LDL cholesterol and raised triglycerides, and raises good HDL cholesterol in adults with mixed lipid disorders.
• High Cholesterol: Reduces total cholesterol and LDL levels in adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Helps lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in people at increased cardiovascular risk with raised lipid levels.

Rosave-F 10 Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): Fenofibrate is classified as a fibrate medication. It operates by activating an enzyme known as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α) in your body. This activation enhances the breakdown of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins and lowers the production of certain lipids in the liver. As a result, fenofibrate effectively reduces triglyceride levels and slightly increases levels of HDL ("good") cholesterol.
• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): As a statin medication, rosuvastatin works by competitively inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a crucial role in cholesterol production in the liver. By doing so, it reduces cholesterol production while enhancing the number of LDL receptors on liver cells thereby increasing uptake and breakdown of LDL ("bad") cholesterol. Consequently, rosuvastatin significantly decreases total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels while modestly raising HDL cholesterol levels.
