Ritza 5 MG Tablet is used for the following:

• Acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults

• Relief of migraine-associated symptoms such as headache, nausea, light sensitivity, and sound sensitivity

Follow these instructions while taking Ritza 5 MG Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the first sign of a migraine attack.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Wait at least 2 hours before taking another tablet if symptoms return.

• Do not take more tablets than recommended by your doctor.

• Consult your doctor if you are unsure about how to take this medicine.

Ritza 5 MG Tablet is taken orally.

Ritza 5 MG Tablet contains rizatriptan (5 mg), which works on the body in the following ways:

• Selective Serotonin Receptor Activation: Rizatriptan selectively binds to specific serotonin receptors (5-HT1B/1D) in the brain, triggering a series of responses that help manage migraine symptoms.

• Blood Vessel Constriction: During a migraine attack, cerebral blood vessels become dilated or widened. Rizatriptan causes these blood vessels to constrict or narrow, helping to reduce the vascular component of migraine pain.

• Pain Signal Blockade: The medicine blocks pain signal transmission through the trigeminal nerve pathways, which are the major pain pathways involved in migraine headaches.

• Anti-inflammatory Effect: Rizatriptan helps reduce the release of inflammatory neuropeptides, thereby decreasing migraine-related pain and discomfort.

• Store Ritza 5 MG Tablet at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

• Keep the tablets in their original packaging until use.

• Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children and pets.

• Check the expiry date and do not use the tablets after this date.

• Identify and avoid your personal migraine triggers, such as certain foods (aged cheese, chocolate, processed foods), bright lights, or strong smells, as these may bring on attacks that require Ritza 5 MG Tablet.

• Maintain a regular sleep schedule with consistent bedtimes and wake times, as sleep disruptions are common migraine triggers that may increase your need for this medicine.
