Bandrone 150 Tablet is used to manage and prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It contains ibandronic acid, a bisphosphonate, and helps strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures.
Take the tablet on an empty stomach first thing in the morning with a full glass of plain water, at least 30 to 60 minutes before any other food, drink or medicine. Sit or stand upright for at least an hour afterwards. Continue taking it as prescribed, even if you feel well, as osteoporosis has no symptoms until a fracture occurs.
Getting enough calcium and vitamin D, either through diet or supplements as advised by your doctor, along with regular weight-bearing exercise, supports bone strength alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any swallowing problems, stomach or oesophagus conditions, kidney problems, or low blood calcium before starting. Report chest pain, worsening heartburn, or difficulty or pain on swallowing, and jaw pain, swelling or numbness, or unusual thigh pain.
