It contains Rizatriptan, which works by narrowing the swollen blood vessels around the brain and blocking the release of natural substances that cause pain and sensitivity. It effectively treats the headache as well as the accompanying nausea and sensitivity to light and sound.
This medication is intended for the treatment of an active migraine and will not prevent future attacks. It is most effective when taken as soon as the migraine symptoms begin. If you do not experience relief after the first dose, do not take a second dose for the same attack without consulting your doctor. Inform your healthcare provider if you have any history of high blood pressure or heart disease.
