Rexcof DX Syrup is used to relieve a dry, non-productive cough associated with the common cold, allergies, or upper respiratory tract infections. It helps suppress the urge to cough and relieve throat irritation.
It contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant that acts on the cough centre in the brain to reduce the urge to cough, and chlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine that relieves allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes.
Measure the syrup using a proper measuring cup or spoon and take it exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the package instructions.
Tell your doctor before taking this medicine if you have severe asthma, chronic bronchitis, glaucoma, or difficulty passing urine due to an enlarged prostate. Avoid alcohol and activities requiring alertness, such as driving, if the medicine makes you drowsy.
