CompositionRamistar 5 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and to protect the heart in people at high risk, including after a heart attack, lowering the long-term risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems.
It contains ramipril, an ACE inhibitor. It works by relaxing the blood vessels so blood flows more easily and the heart does not have to work as hard.
Take it daily as prescribed, and keep taking it even when you feel well.
Do not use it in pregnancy. Tell your doctor about any kidney problems before use. A dry cough can occur; tell your doctor if it is troublesome. Report marked dizziness, fainting, or swelling of the face, lips or tongue, which needs urgent help.
