Composition

Levosulpiride (75 Mg) + Rabeprazole (20 Mg)

Rabesec LS capsule is used to treat acid reflux (GERD), stomach and intestinal ulcers, and bloating. It contains rabeprazole, which reduces excess stomach acid, and levosulpiride, which improves stomach movement, helping relieve heartburn, regurgitation, and discomfort caused by delayed digestion.

In addition to managing GERD, this capsule is also useful in managing peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. These conditions are associated with varying digestive issues such as abdominal pain, bloating, altered bowel habits, upper abdominal pain, and excessive stomach acid production.

Rabesec-LS Capsule is used to manage GERD, peptic ulcers, and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, such as abdominal pain and bloating. It also helps with functional dyspepsia, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and reduces excessive stomach acid production.

Use Rabesec-LS Capsule as follows:

Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the capsule.
The capsule should be taken 30 minutes before a meal.
Do not open the capsule before taking it.

Rabesec-LS Capsule contains two active ingredients:

Levosulpiride (75 mg): Levosulpiride is a selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist. This term may sound complicated but it just means that it blocks certain receptors in the gastrointestinal tract that respond to dopamine, a neurotransmitter. By doing so, it increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food move more easily through your digestive system.
Rabeprazole (20 mg): Rabeprazole falls into the category of proton pump inhibitors. This agent works by blocking a specific enzyme system (proton pump) in your stomach's cells responsible for producing acid. Blocking this enzyme reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach which allows any damage to heal and prevents further damage.

Pregnancy

Caution is advised while taking Rabesec-LS Capsule if you are pregnant. It's best to consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Breastfeeding

If you are breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before starting Rabesec-LS Capsule as it may affect your baby.

Alcohol

Drug-Food Interactions

Pheochromocytoma: This is a rare tumour that secretes high levels of certain hormones. Rabesec-LS Capsule is contraindicated in patients with this condition.
Parkinson's Disease: As levosulpiride can reduce the effectiveness of Parkinson's medications, it's contraindicated in patients with Parkinson's disease.
Breast Cancer: Levosulpiride is known to increase the levels of prolactin, a hormone that may promote breast cancer growth. Therefore, it's contraindicated in patients with breast cancer.

Daily Dose

Over Dose
