Protera D Capsule 15

Protera D Capsule is used to treat acid reflux, GERD, and peptic ulcers by significantly reducing stomach acid production. It alleviates symptoms such as heartburn, nausea, bloating, and indigestion. It is also used to manage reflux esophagitis and specialized conditions like Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.

Here are some instructions to follow while taking Protera D Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing, chewing or opening the capsule.
• It's crucial not to take more than your doctor's advised dose.
• Don't stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Protera D Capsule is taken orally.

Protera D Capsule contains two key ingredients:

• Pantoprazole (40 mg): A member of the proton pump inhibitor class of drugs, pantoprazole works by permanently blocking an enzyme called hydrogen potassium ATPase (proton pump) located in the gastric parietal cells. This action decreases the production of stomach acid, thus relieving heartburn, promoting the healing of damaged tissues in your food pipe and stomach due to acid, and preventing ulcers.
• Domperidone (30 mg): This component is a prokinetic agent. It works by blocking dopamine receptors in your stomach and intestines, which increases their contraction and movement. This action helps food progress through your digestive system more efficiently, reducing symptoms like bloating and indigestion. Also, by blocking messages sent to the vomiting centre in your brain, domperidone can help manage nausea and vomiting.

• Store Protera D Capsule below 25°C to maintain its efficacy.
• Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Properly seal the strip after every use to prevent air exposure.
• Always keep this medication out of reach of children.
• Don't forget to use it before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• Avoid spicy, fatty and fried foods as these can trigger symptoms. Opt for a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins.
• Regular physical activity can help manage indigestion and gastritis. Remember, it's important to wait at least an hour after eating before you start your exercise.
