Protera D Capsule is a medicine used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and acid-related indigestion. It relieves heartburn, acid regurgitation, and upper stomach discomfort.
It contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid, and domperidone, a prokinetic that improves the movement of the stomach and intestines. Take the capsule 30 to 60 minutes before a meal, preferably in the morning. Continue the treatment for the prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve early.
Avoiding spicy, oily, and acidic foods, eating smaller meals, and cutting down on tea, coffee, and alcohol can help reduce acidity and support healing of the food pipe and stomach lining.
Tell your doctor if you have liver disease or are taking medicines for HIV or fungal infections before starting this medicine. Inform your doctor if you notice persistent stomach pain, black stools, or difficulty swallowing. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
