• Eplerenone (25 mg): This medicine works as an aldosterone antagonist or a potassium-sparing diuretic. It blocks the actions of the hormone aldosterone in your body. Aldosterone is a hormone that regulates the balance of water and electrolytes (salts) in your body. By blocking aldosterone, eplerenone helps your kidneys remove excess sodium and water from your body through urine.
• Torsemide (10 mg): Torsemide is classified as a loop diuretic. It acts on a specific part of your kidneys called the loop of Henle, where it inhibits the reabsorption of salts and fluid. This leads to increased excretion of water, sodium, potassium, and chloride in your urine.
