Panderm ++ Cream is used to treat inflamed skin conditions that are infected, or likely to be infected, with bacteria, fungi or both, and to relieve redness, itching and swelling. It is a combination medicine containing clobetasol, neomycin and miconazole, and belongs to the classes of medicines called corticosteroids, antibiotics and antifungals.
This medicine works in three ways. Clobetasol reduces inflammation, neomycin kills susceptible bacteria, and miconazole stops fungi from growing, so the infection and inflammation are treated together.
Apply it to the affected area only, as directed by your doctor, and use it only for the period prescribed. Keeping the skin clean and dry and wearing loose clothing over the area can help. Burning, irritation, redness, itching and dryness are common effects.
Prolonged use of a potent steroid can thin the skin. Do not use it for a simple fungal infection such as ringworm unless your doctor directs you to, as the steroid can mask or worsen the infection. Tell your doctor about any other skin conditions, allergies, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting. Do not stop using it unless your doctor advises you to do so.
