CompositionPacroma Cream is a topical immunomodulator medicine used to manage and treat atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema. It is prescribed for patients who do not respond well to or cannot use traditional steroid creams, helping to reduce intense skin itching, localised redness, and sudden dry skin flare-ups.
It contains pimecrolimus, which belongs to a class of medications called topical calcineurin inhibitors. It works by targeting specific immune cells in the skin and blocking the release of inflammatory chemical substances that cause severe eczema symptoms, effectively calming the skin without causing skin thinning. Apply a thin layer gently.
To support your skin barrier, apply a rich, fragrance-free moisturizer or emollient over your skin regularly throughout the day. Avoid bathing in very hot water, wear soft breathable cotton clothing, and identify and avoid personal eczema triggers like harsh perfumed soaps, detergents, or environmental dust.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have an active viral skin infection (like cold sores or chickenpox), a weakened immune system, or swollen lymph nodes. Avoid using airtight plastic bandages over the cream, and shield treated areas from excess sunlight. Consult your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
