Ozefit Cream 5gm is a topical antibacterial medicine primarily used to manage impetigo, a highly contagious skin infection affecting the face, nose, mouth, arms, or legs. It is also effective in managing other primary and secondary superficial bacterial skin infections by reducing bacterial growth and supporting effective skin healing.
It contains a quinolone antibiotic. Apply a thin layer to the cleaned, dry affected skin area as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application unless treating the hands. Continue using the cream for the full duration prescribed, even if the skin appearance improves early, to prevent the infection from returning.
To help prevent the spread of bacterial skin infections like impetigo, keep the affected skin area clean and loosely covered if advised. Avoid scratching or picking at skin lesions, and do not share personal items such as towels, washcloths, clothing, or bedding with family members until the infection has cleared.
Before using this cream, inform your doctor if you have a history of severe skin allergies or sensitive skin reactions. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if you develop severe irritation, rash, or signs of an allergic reaction at the application site. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, or open deep wounds.
