Martiderm Cream 5Gm

MARTIDERM Cream is used primarily for the management of impetigo, a highly contagious bacterial skin infection.

Uses of Martiderm Cream 5gm are:

• Impetigo: Targets the red sores and oozing fluid that characterise impetigo.
• Other Bacterial Skin Infections: Manages other localised bacterial skin infections.

Follow these simple instructions to correctly apply Martiderm Cream 5gm:

• Always ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before applying the cream.

• Apply a thin layer of Martiderm Cream 5gm on the infected skin as directed by your doctor.

• Gently rub in the cream until it's completely absorbed.

• Remember to wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the cream unless your hands are in the area being treated.

Martiderm Cream 5gm is applied topically.

Martiderm Cream 5gm contains Ozenoxacin (1%), which works in the following ways:

• Inhibits Key Bacterial Enzymes: Ozenoxacin blocks the action of two bacterial enzymes known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are crucial for the bacteria's survival as they help in DNA replication, repair, transcription, and recombination.

• Kills Bacteria: By blocking these vital enzymes, Ozenoxacin effectively kills off the bacteria responsible for causing impetigo. The elimination of these bacteria leads to the reduction of symptoms associated with impetigo and prevents the further spread of infection.

• Store your Martiderm Cream 5gm in a tightly closed container at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Do not freeze.

• Keep it away from direct heat and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Always ensure the cream is kept out of reach of children and pets.

• Maintain personal hygiene to prevent the spread of impetigo. Regular hand washing can help reduce the risk of infection.
